Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Charge Nurse for a long-term care/nursing home assignment. 36/48 hours Required Qualifications Active RN license Previous Long-Term Care / Nursing Home experience Charge Nurse experience required Strong clinical assessment and leadership skills Ability to supervise and support nursing staff Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Dependable attendance and professional conduct Experience with electronic clinical documentation preferred Key Responsibilities Serve as the RN Charge Nurse and provide leadership for the assigned unit. Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with established standards and policies. Assess residents' conditions and identify changes requiring intervention or provider notification. Administer medications and treatments as ordered. Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff. Delegate appropriate duties to LPNs, CNAs, and other assigned personnel. Monitor resident safety, quality of care, and compliance with nursing standards. Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident condition. Support staff with clinical questions and provide direction during the shift. Maintain a professional and respectful environment.

Documentation & Timekeeping Charting System:

Cerner Paper Prime Time Healthcare timecard is required. Work week runs Sunday through Saturday . Approved timecard signers include the designated scheduler or onsite Charge Nurse/ADON. A 30-minute lunch break must be deducted from worked time . If a lunch break cannot be taken, the Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, or Scheduler must be notified and the required no-lunch form must be completed and approved.

Pay:

$42.00 - $49.00 per hour
