Requirements include NYS RN licensure, minimum 1 year of long-term care nursing experience with supervisory responsibilities across multiple units, BLS certification, and CPI within 90 days of hire. A BSN is preferred. Responsibilities involve overseeing nursing unit operations, providing clinical supervision, ensuring quality resident care through staff teaching, and collaborating with management to resolve issues. The role requires strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Additional duties include making administrative decisions in the absence of leadership, ensuring compliance with NYSDOH, and modeling a healing environment. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens is possible. Candidates should be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and promote teamwork. Questions regarding prior experience at FLH locations, schedule availability, and RTO limitations may be asked.
