Job Description

Full time/80 hours per pay 8:00am-5:00pm The Nurse Manager is specifically responsible for:
  • Ensuring cost effective and efficient processes and outcome management for internal and external customers.
  • Achieving seamless delivery of service by appropriately involving colleagues, physicians, other customers, and staff to ensure commitment, communication, and cross functional linkages.
  • Collaborating in developing and implementing processes which achieve strategically relevant quality outcomes in a specific functional area.
  • Overseeing and developing systems to ensure accountability for operations and managerial effectiveness.
  • Articulating unit vision and utilizing resources to ensure staff commitment to strategic and unit objectives.
  • Developing a team of highly skilled professionals.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education Minimum Level of Education Required:
Bachelor's degree
  • Type of degree: Nursing
  • Area of study or major: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Preferred educational qualifications: Master's
  • Position specific testing requirement: N/A Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • Valid RN license in the State of Ohio
CPR Certification Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required:
3 - 5 years of job related experience Prior job title or occupational experience: 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in a health care setting Prior specific functional responsibilities: Nursing Preferred experience: Health care leadership Other experience requirements: N/A Knowledge/Skills
  • Other demonstrated skills necessary for this position include expertise in communication across disciplines, change management, managing group dynamics, and performance improvement process.
