LPN/RN Charge Nurse
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate
- Assist with patient assessments and develop care plans
- Perform gastric lavage and other specialized procedures as required
- Provide wound care and dressings
- Administer injections and perform venipuncture for blood draws
- Assist with ophthalmology procedures and eye care
- Educate patients and their families on health coaching and self-care techniques
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Cerner
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide support and comfort to patients receiving hospice care
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in the state of [Location]
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) techniques
- Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and coding practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
