Director of Nursery Operations Oregon | Three Nursery Locations | Relocation Candidates Welcome SuperTrees is looking for an experienced nursery operations leader to take responsibility for production and operations across our three Oregon tree farms. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who has already successfully managed a large-scale commercial nursery or agricultural operation and knows what it takes to produce high-quality trees efficiently, lead a strong workforce, and run a multimillion-dollar operation. Our ideal candidate brings deep experience with both field-grown and container-grown shade trees, understands propagation and nursery production from the ground up, is fluent in English and Spanish, and has successfully managed an operation in the $5-$10 million+ range. This position is based in Oregon, and we are conducting a nationwide search. We welcome experienced nursery leaders from throughout the U.S. who are interested in relocating to Oregon. What You'll Own You will have overall responsibility for nursery operations across three Oregon farms, including production, people, quality, efficiency, safety, equipment, inventory, and operational performance. You'll be responsible for: Leading operations across three nursery locations Managing and developing nursery managers, crew leads, and employees Overseeing field-grown and container-grown shade tree production Overseeing propagation and growing practices Planning production around current inventory and future sales needs Managing labor, equipment, materials, and operational resources Driving improvements in productivity, quality, and efficiency Maintaining consistent standards across all three farms Monitoring inventory, production schedules, and operational performance Working closely with ownership, sales, shipping, and other areas of the business Maintaining safe, organized, and well-run nursery operations Holding managers and crews accountable while building strong working relationships What You Need to Bring This is not an entry-level nursery management position. We're looking for someone who has already demonstrated that they can successfully lead a substantial operation.
Required:
Significant commercial nursery operations and leadership experience Experience managing a $5-$10 million+ operation Strong knowledge of field-grown and container-grown shade trees Strong knowledge of propagation and nursery production Experience leading managers and sizable nursery or agricultural crews Experience with production planning, labor management, inventory, quality, equipment, and operational costs Fluency in English and Spanish Proven ability to improve operations and hold people accountable for results Willingness to relocate to Oregon if currently located outside the area Who Will Be Successful Here We're looking for someone who can see both the big picture and what is happening on the farm every day. You should be just as comfortable walking the nursery and evaluating tree quality as you are reviewing production numbers, planning labor needs, coaching a manager, or talking directly with a crew in Spanish. You know how to run an operation. You recognize problems early, make decisions, follow through, and take ownership of the results. Pay:
$100,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
