Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead and coordinate nursing services within our healthcare facility. This vital role involves overseeing patient care delivery, managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining high standards of clinical excellence. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care across departments such as critical care, geriatrics, behavioral health, and medical-surgical units. Lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, fostering professional development and team cohesion through effective communication and managerial oversight. Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, IV infusion procedures, catheter care, tube feeding, and other complex clinical tasks utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, state healthcare laws, long-term care regulations, and hospital policies related to medical documentation, medical records management, and patient privacy. Coordinate discharge planning, case management activities, and utilization review processes including utilization management to optimize patient outcomes and resource utilization. Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as cardiac catheterization assessments or spinal taps when necessary; manage airway via ventilator protocols; perform sterile procedures including phlebotomy and suturing. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and safety standards for procedures like IV insertion or catheterization. Facilitate communication between multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions across units such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or neonatal units. Manage documentation related to DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) coding for billing accuracy; oversee incident reporting and quality assurance initiatives aligned with NCQA standards. Experience Proven supervisory experience in a healthcare setting with demonstrated leadership in managing nursing teams within acute care or long-term care environments. Extensive clinical background including critical & intensive care experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers; ICU experience preferred. Proficiency working with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth; familiarity with

ICD-9/ICD-10

coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes. Strong knowledge of hospital medicine practices across specialties including emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), behavioral health, and dementia care. Hands-on experience with complex procedures like cardiac catheterization, gastric lavage, spinal taps, or ventilator management is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology related to anatomy, physiology, pharmacology for medication administration and physical examinations. Ability to interpret diagnostic evaluations and perform patient assessments while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Demonstrated success in managing care facility teams within regulated environments such as long-term care facilities or assisted living communities. Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations along with experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays enhances your fit for this role. Pay:

$38.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
