Job Description
Role:
Coordinates and supervises nursing care on an assigned unit, ensuring high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care. Provides direct patient care and supervises staff, including onboarding, performance evaluations, and addressing performance issues. Facilitates communication among team members, implements policies, and promotes evidence-based practices. Acts as a resource, mentors staff, and ensures regulatory compliance. Assists in managing resources efficiently and resolves patient and family concerns. Supports unit operations, incident follow-up, and documentation.
Responsibilities:
Lead interdisciplinary collaboration, support quality improvements, and foster a patient-centered environment aligned with Magnet principles. Participate in policy development, staff scheduling, and unit management. Ensure staff meet regulatory standards and optimize resource use. Engage in community involvement and support a safe work environment through security measures.
Qualifications and Skills:
Enrollment in or graduation from a nursing degree program, with preferred Bachelor's. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to mentor staff, promote professional growth, and support a positive work environment. Knowledge of clinical regulations and evidence-based practices is essential.
