Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Weekend RN Supervisor to oversee nursing operations during weekend shifts. As the Weekend RN Supervisor, you will coordinate nursing staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintain optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during weekend shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of patient care. Oversee patient assessments, vital signs, and medical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Triage patient needs and coordiante nursing assignments accross multiple branches. Ensure adherence to nursing policies, infection control standards, and safety guidelines across all activities. Collaborate with nursing, physician, clerical, and administrative staff. Provide staff guidance on complex clinical issues as needed. Maintain accurate medical records within Homecare Homebase Electronic Health Record while ensuring confidentiality and data security. Answering incoming nursing triage calls and coordinate care with our community partners such as nursing facilities, hospitals, and assisted living facilities. Skills Extensive experience with Homecare Homebase; proficiency in medical documentation is essential. Expert level hospice clinical skills are imperative to this role. 5+ years hospice experience will be required to be able to perform this role effectivly. Strong background in diverse nursing specialties including geriatrics, behavioral health, pediatrics, or long-term care environments. Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding and expert level knowledge of Medicare LCD's is critical to this role, ability to quickly review charts and formulate abstracts for the clinical care team and physicians is necessary. Proven supervisory experience managing nursing teams within hospice; excellent managerial communication skills required. Competence in verbally guiding staff through performing physical examinations, wound care, ventilator/CPAP/BiPAP system troubleshooting and management, phlebotomy, urinary catheterization. Ability to interpret physiology data for patient assessment; understanding of pharmacology related to medication administration and pain management. Familiarity with state healthcare regulations, NCQA standards, HIPAA compliance, and Hospice care regulations to ensure policy adherence. STRONG computer skills- ability to troubleshoot connectivity, network, and other issues remotely.
