Job Description

MUST HAVE RN LICENSE
  • Maintain a familiarity and knowledge of residents medical situation overall.
  • Review shift report daily prior to shift and assess for problem areas. Make all recommendations and report and adverse conditions to the nursing management.
  • Counsel, evaluate, and discipline nursing personnel as required.
  • Assist in the staffing of the units as required
  • Perform shift work and assist with individual resident care when residents are in need
  • Participate and attend meetings and committees as designated
  • Make rounds on the unit regularly ensuring support to nursing personnel and maintaining a unit profile
  • Promote a positive image of the facility and set an example of professionalism, appearance, and dependability
  • Maintain clean and orderly units
  • Direct staff of all departments during emergencies, in the absence of Administrative authority
  • Provide documentation as required to provide optimum resident care and assist with the coordination of activity and communication to physicians . Ensure all staff charting is complete by end of shift
  • Monitor nursing activity for compliance of regulations and policies
  • Upgrade and impart innovative nursing protocol and technique when able
  • Participate in meetings, committee, and programs as designated and be involved with QA problems to solve service issues
  • Assess, review and audit medical records for accuracy and compliance
  • In an emergency may be required to perform duties to maintain reasonable functioning of the facility and safety to the residents On Call Rotation
  • All other duties assigned
