Job Description

Purpose The primary purpose of your job position is to manage the overall nursing activities of your assigned unit. This position requires professionalism, leadership and commitment to provide quality resident care and a positive, nurturing work environment every day. Such oversight must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. You will report directly to the A.D.O.Ns; and in their absence, the Director of Nursing Services. Education 1. Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN program. 2. All licensed nurses shall possess a valid Healthcare Provider cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate within six (6) months of their first day on the job in the facility. CPR classes are provided by LMC Extended Care Staff Development. 3. Certification in Gerontological Nursing preferred but not required. Experience 1. Must have a minimum of three (3) years of general nursing experience, with two (2) years experience in a long term care facility and one (1) year supervisory experience in a hospital, long-term care facility or other health care facility preferred, but all experienced will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. 2. Training/experience in rehabilitation and restorative nursing practices is preferred.

$37.44 - $48.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
