Responsibilities Supervise nursing staff during weekend shifts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality patient care. Coordinate patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations. Oversee medication administration, IV infusion procedures, catheter care, and tube feeding protocols while maintaining safety standards. Ensure compliance with state healthcare regulations, long-term care regulations, and hospital policies related to nursing practice. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate discharge planning, case management, and utilization review processes. Manage EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate documentation of patient care activities. Dining Room Duty for Lunch and Dinner Qualifications Valid RN license with current state registration; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. Proven supervisory or nurse management experience in acute care, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), or hospital medicine settings. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD-10 coding, and healthcare regulations including HIPAA and long-term care standards. Experience working with diverse patient populations such as geriatrics, behavioral health patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth; proficiency in medical documentation and clinical workflows. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively during high-pressure situations. Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II Trauma Center background is highly desirable.
