Job Description
Signature HealthCARE is seeking a Unit Manager to lead clinical operations within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. This on-site leader oversees daily nursing unit workflow, ensuring safe, resident-centered care in a long-term and post-acute environment. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching staff, coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team, monitoring outcomes and regulatory compliance, and supporting quality improvement. The ideal candidate is an experienced RN leader who embodies our faith-based, mission-driven culture and is committed to compassion, dignity, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations of the nursing unit to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care Supervise, coach, and schedule nursing and support staff to meet resident needs Monitor clinical outcomes, care plans, and documentation for regulatory compliance Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members on care coordination Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and safety/quality standards Support performance improvement initiatives and resident satisfaction efforts Manage unit budgets, staffing levels, and resource utilization Provide leadership that reflects Signature Health CARE's mission, values, and faith-based culture Required Skills Nursing unit management Clinical assessment Care planning and coordination Staff supervision and scheduling Long-term care regulations (CMS, state) Electronic medical records (EMR) Quality improvement in healthcare Infection prevention and control Budgeting and resource management Resident and family communication
