Emergency Department Manager We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Manager to lead the clinical and operational activities of the Emergency Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN leader who enjoys working closely with staff, supporting quality patient care, and helping drive improvements within a community hospital setting. Position Highlights Leadership role overseeing daily Emergency Department operations Support nursing practice, patient care delivery, staffing, and department performance Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, pharmacy, ambulatory services, and other departments Participate in strategic planning, process improvement, and development of clinical programs Opportunity to make a direct impact on patient outcomes, staff engagement, and department efficiency Serve as a clinical resource during periods of high volume or acuity Participate in budget planning and department financial management Key Responsibilities Lead and evaluate Emergency Department clinical operations, programs, and resources Ensure safe, high-quality, cost-effective patient care and regulatory compliance Address daily clinical, administrative, and operational issues Maintain appropriate staffing levels and staff competency Monitor department performance indicators and develop strategies for improvement Lead and develop department staff through coaching, training, feedback, and performance management Collaborate across departments to promote continuity of care and efficient patient services Participate in Unit Based Team and Staffing Committee activities Support organizational initiatives, strategic planning, and process improvement Rotate Administrator On Call responsibilities and provide hospital leadership support when needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent combination of education and experience, with BSN in progress subject to confirmation 3+ years of recent hospital nursing experience 3+ years as a charge nurse/supervisor OR 1+ year of management experience Emergency Department or Critical Care experience preferred Current, unrestricted Washington State RN license Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications TNCC certification preferred National certification such as CEN, CCRN, or CMSRN preferred Strong leadership, communication, delegation, coaching, and problem-solving skills Experience with process improvement, data analysis, planning, and change management Why Consider This Opportunity?
