Job Description
Overview Receives and manages patient food selections for meals via mobile device and/or phone. Assist with meal assembly on tray line for assigned units. Delivers patient meal carts to nursing units according to set schedule. Distributes individual trays to patients on nursing unit. Adheres to TJC, state and federal regulations while delivering patient meals. Assists patients with set up of meals as needed. Collects soiled trays on cart from designated units and return carts to kitchen for sanitizing. Assemble floor stock orders, delivers and stocks nourishment rooms for specified nursing units. Documents temperatures of unit nourishment refrigerator and freezers. Reports out of range temperatures to supervisor. Organizes and sanitizes nourishment rooms on assigned units. Develop and maintain rapport with designated nursing units to ensure patient/peer needs are met. Qualifications Previous experience in foodservice and customer service preferred.
