Job Description

Overview St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, affiliated with Catholic Health, is located in Smithtown, NY on a beautiful 110-acre campus that includes a 290-bed community hospital, a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation facility, and a 60,000 sq. ft. medical office building. SCS is engaged with error reduction initiatives and on a journey to High Reliability. We have been recognized in superior care in stroke and sepsis patients, have also recently attained Center of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery, and have been designated as the only Baby Friendly hospital in Suffolk County. Job Details Assists clinical dietitians by coordinating patient menus, diets, and food production data for accurate tray service.
Responsibilities Menu & Diet Management:
Verifies diet orders, updates CBORD, and prints daily menus, tallies, and tube feeding lists.
Patient & Clinical Care:
Manages room service requests, modifies meal plans for age-specific needs (pediatric to geriatric), and escalates complex issues to dietitians.
Communication & Support:
Relays patient updates to kitchen staff, manages office supplies, and maintains a respectful, customer-focused environment.
Requirements Education:
High School diploma/GED preferred.
Experience:
1 year in food service + 90-hour course (or equivalent).

Basic computer skills (CBORD experience preferred).
