JOB DESCRIPTION
The Nutrition Care Representative (NCR) is a "point person" for food service issues affecting patients, other nutrition services staff and nursing service staff. The NCR is responsible for assisting patients with menu selection, and ensuring that patients receive meals and nourishments in accordance with diet prescriptions and individual preferences. Duties include screening patients for nutritional risk, taking patient food orders over the phone and entering them into MICROS, updating patient information in GemServe as required, correcting menu choices under supervision and alerting the supervisor and clinical nutrition staff to any patient issues. Other duties may include serving patient trays and nourishments.
EDUCATION
High School Graduate or
GED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one year experience in food service or patient care. College course work in clinical nutrition or nutrition therapy may be substituted for work experience. Apply
