Job Description

Performs a variety of functions that assure patients are receiving appropriate and timely nourishment. Collects and transports meals and related items between the kitchen and inpatient areas. Practices safe food handling and storage techniques. Minimum Education § High School diploma or equivalent or evidence of obtaining. Minimum Work Experience § Prior experience in healthcare food service desirable. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities § Ability to follow oral and written instructions. § Demonstrates safe food handling skills. § Knowledge of proper temperature zones for hot and cold foods and refrigeration. § Knowledge of regular and modified diets. § Demonstrates excellent customer service standards. § Demonstrates moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
