1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist - Outpatient with 1+ year experience for a Critical Access Hospital covering Outpatient, Acute Care, and Long Term Care/Swing Bed services. Details Small Critical Access Hospital setting with 40 staffed beds Covers Outpatient, Acute Care, and LTC/Swing Bed units Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM No weekend work required No call requirements May float within scope to cover Outpatient, Acute Care, and Long Term Care as needed Open to accommodating a block schedule Epic EMR system used, experience required Diverse patient population including pediatric and orthopedic cases Experience with modalities such as biofeedback, electrical stimulation, TENS, and ultrasound is relevant Familiarity with prosthetics and orthotics, including splinting techniques, is applicable Requirements Current, active Occupational Therapist license required (license required if applicable) Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required BLS certification required NBCOT certification required Compact license must be in hand at time of submission Epic EMR experience required First-time travelers accepted Additional Information Provide occupational therapy services across outpatient, acute care, and long-term/swing bed settings Work as part of a team in a small, community-based Critical Access Hospital Scrub color is flexible Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted site Facility provides housing during the assignment, typically a 1-bedroom apartment which may be shared with another traveler Pets are not allowed in provided housing Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) All time off requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live at least 50 miles from the facility Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
