We adapt the therapy to the resident. Someone living with dementia may not be able to tell you what's making a task difficult. Maybe the environment is overwhelming. Maybe the routine has changed. Maybe the instructions are too complicated. Maybe the cueing needs to be different. Maybe the task needs to be broken down. Maybe we need to change our approach , not ask the resident to try harder. That's where great OT comes in. And then there's the falls pilot. We're exploring how new technology can help us understand and address fall risk in Memory Care. As part of this role, you'll have an opportunity to participate in the pilot and bring your clinical OT perspective to the work. You'll help us ask better questions: What are we seeing? What is the resident telling us? What is the environment telling us? What can technology help us see? And most importantly—what do we do with what we learn? This isn't technology replacing clinical judgment. It's technology giving clinicians more information to work with. And you'll be part of figuring out what that looks like in practice. Your role You'll provide meaningful, occupation-based care to residents living with dementia while collaborating closely with the broader Prava team.
