Required Qualifications & Experience:
Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience in school-based occupational therapy and/or home health is highly desired Ability to adapt interventions to match each students unique needs and educational goals Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and other professionals Familiarity with educational documentation, goal writing, and progress monitoring Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to district policies and relevant regulations
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students Deliver direct interventions and consultation services in both school and home settings Assist teachers and family members in implementing strategies that promote student participation and independence Monitor student progress, documenting outcomes and adjusting approaches as needed Attend team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development Support a positive, inclusive learning environment by advocating for necessary accommodations This contract role not only enables you to expand your professional skillset but also to make a direct difference in the lives of students and their support networks during a critical period.
