Ideal background and qualifications:
Valid COTA certification and state licensure Experience in school settings or working with children and adolescents, preferred Familiarity with IEP planning, writing documentation, and implementing therapy goals Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Strong organizational and time-management skills Compassionate, patient, and creative approach to therapy Ability to adapt activities for a variety of student needs and skill levels Main responsibilities: Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Support students in classrooms and therapy spaces, focusing on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to design individualized student plans Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies Contribute to IEP meetings and assist with goal development Provide education and strategies to staff and families to support student success Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment Enjoy meaningful work with a contract position that offers the chance to make a real difference every day.
