Job Description

Overview Occupational Therapist - Acute Care in Monterey, California. Start date 12/01/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $2,399 to $2,506 per week with guaranteed 35 hours per week.
Shift:
5x8 days, hours typically 08:00-16:30. Work setting is a skilled nursing facility delivering rehabilitation services to adult residents requiring acute care-level therapy and functional restoration.

Setting:
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Monterey, CA Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations to determine resident needs and functional goals Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize independence in activities of daily living Provide therapeutic activities and modality-based interventions tailored to the SNF population Monitor progress, adjust goals, and support discharge planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team Document evaluation findings, treatment plans, and progress notes in the electronic health record per regulatory requirements Educate residents, families, and caregivers on home safety, adaptive equipment, and caregiver training to support ongoing recovery Requirements Active Occupational Therapist license in California (or eligibility to obtain) prior to start Graduation from an accredited OT program Prior experience in acute care or skilled nursing settings preferred Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team in a skilled nursing environment Willingness to participate in a temporary travel assignment and adhere to assigned shift and scheduling requirements Benefits and Support Dedicated support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC throughout the assignment Travel credentialing and onboarding assistance to help you start on time Ongoing clinical and scheduling support during the contract Access to a network of travel assignments and resources to support professional development Find more opportunities If you'd like to review additional travel OT openings, visit https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply and explore current postings.
