Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid California Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L) Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Strong ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families Familiarity with creating and implementing IEP goals Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills Adaptable and resourceful, with the ability to support diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for growth Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive skills Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input on OT goals and student progress Collaborate with educators and parents to integrate effective therapeutic strategies into classroom and home routines Track student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district and legal guidelines Offer consultation and training to staff on techniques and accommodations for students
