Duties Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop tailored occupational therapy plans. Implement therapeutic activities that improve manual handling skills, mobility, and daily living functions. Educate patients and their families on treatment strategies, safety procedures, and injury prevention techniques. Utilize your knowledge of physiology and anatomy to inform effective intervention approaches. Perform manual handling tasks safely, including weight handling in the workplace and patient transfers. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes using medical terminology. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients Ensure compliance with occupational health standards and safety protocols during therapy sessions. Conduct therapy sessions for diverse populations including geriatrics, and individuals in rehabilitation or recovery phases. Demonstrate technical proficiency with assistive devices and therapeutic equipment to optimize patient outcomes. Experience Proven occupational therapy experience in clinical settings Hands-on experience working with adult and geriatric patients. Familiarity with post-acute care, assessment and developing plan of care in a home health care setting Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to occupational therapy practices. Strong skills in documentations and submission in timely matter Experience in managing manual handling procedures safely within healthcare or workplace environments. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to functional assessments and therapeutic interventions. CPR certification is required; additional certifications in occupational health or specialized therapy techniques are advantageous.
