In this vital role, you will assess individual needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based occupational therapy programs across diverse settings. Your expertise will support clients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, ensuring comprehensive care that promotes functional recovery and enhances daily living skills. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that align with clinical goals and evidence-based practices. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to foster independence. Support discharge planning by coordinating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions from hospital or facility to home or community settings. Provide specialized care for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders, as well as those requiring pediatric occupational therapy or physical rehabilitation. Document patient progress accurately using electronic health records (EHR) and maintain detailed clinical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate effectively with speech therapists, physicians, case managers, educators, and other professionals to optimize patient outcomes through interprofessional teamwork. Qualifications Valid license or certification as an Occupational Therapist in accordance with state or national requirements. Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in pediatric occupational therapy settings. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and evidence-based occupational therapy practices. Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive care plans and treatment strategies tailored to diverse client needs. Experience working across various environments including inpatient acute care, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home health, early intervention programs, schools, or outpatient settings. Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with medical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR) management systems.
