Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a PRN Occupational Therapist, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives across diverse settings. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work in the elderly care industry, particularly in-home visits. As an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, you will develop and implement personalized occupational therapy programs that promote independence, enhance functional abilities, and support overall well-being. Your dedication will empower individuals who seek the highest quality of life in their evening years. They vary in age, level of disability, have neurocognitive disorders and so forth. Duties Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and sensory abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with evidence-based practices and client goals. Where necessary, assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to foster independence. Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, educators, and case managers to coordinate care strategies. Support discharge planning by preparing clients and caregivers with education and home modifications for continued progress post-treatment. Document clinical findings accurately using electronic health records (EHR) management systems while ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards. Educate clients and families about treatment plans, progress updates, and strategies for ongoing support in various environments such as homes. Experience Proven experience working with individuals across multiple settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments. Demonstrated expertise in geriatric occupational therapy. Familiarity with occupational therapy assessments related to physiology and anatomy knowledge to inform treatment development. Experience working with clients with neurodevelopmental and neurocognitive disorders or other disabilities requiring tailored intervention strategies. Strong background in case management, treatment plan development, and clinical documentation adhering to medical terminology standards. Knowledge of implementing occupational therapy programs that support patient care goals across diverse populations including geriatrics and occupational health cases. Ability to communicate effectively with clients of all ages and collaborate within interprofessional teams to optimize patient outcomes. Pay:
$65.00 - $90.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 - 10.0 per week
