We're a specialty vision therapy practice helping children and adults develop visual skills that impact learning, reading, coordination, sports, and everyday life. Our patients include children with vision-related learning challenges and adults recovering from concussions, brain injuries, and other neurological conditions. No previous vision therapy experience is required. We're looking for the right person to invest in and train. What You'll Do As Clinical Neuro-Rehabilitation Assistant/Vision Therapist, you'll work one-on-one with children and adults, guiding them through individualized activities while building relationships and seeing their progress firsthand. Provide one-on-one vision therapy to children and adults Teach, encourage, and make therapy positive and engaging Adapt your approach to different ages, personalities, and learning styles Collaborate closely with our doctors and team Participate in ongoing hands-on training and mentorship Help with basic office tasks during downtime, such as organizing supplies, disinfecting equipment, photocopying, and opening/closing procedures Who We're Looking For Someone who: Is kind, warm, patient, and genuinely enjoys working with people Has a strong work ethic and is dependable and organized Loves learning, problem-solving, and developing new skills Is positive, encouraging, and a strong communicator Is proactive, coachable, and willing to help where needed Wants a fulfilling career, not just a job Is interested in growing with our practice long-term Is comfortable around dogs (our friendly therapy dog is regularly in the office)! Backgrounds in education, child development, psychology, healthcare, coaching, tutoring, or similar fields are a plus, but not required. Grow With Us Optometric Vision Therapy is a specialized field, and we provide extensive training and mentorship. There is real room to grow in this position depending on your strengths and interests, including patient care, testing, technology, neuro-rehabilitation, increased responsibility, and professional certification through the Optometric Vision Development & Rehabilitation Association (OVDRA). Starting pay is $20-$25/hour, depending on experience and education, with opportunities for increased compensation as you develop within the role. We're not just looking to fill a position.
