This is a full-time assignment to cover a maternity leave, offering a chance to make a significant impact on students' growth and success. You'll collaborate closely with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and benefit from a strong network of professionals dedicated to student achievement.
Key Qualifications:
Valid licensure and credentials to practice as an Occupational Therapist Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including COTAs, teachers, and administration Strong documentation and organizational skills, especially with managing caseloads Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving student and program needs Compassion and a commitment to promoting functional independence among students
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions to help students achieve educational goals Assess and monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary Collaborate with the COTA to delegate tasks and provide guidance Maintain accurate, thorough records of services and student outcomes Consult with teachers and families to support carryover of strategies in the classroom and at home Attend or participate in team meetings and provide input on student plans This contract position offers the stability of full-time hours, the professional satisfaction of working closely with a dedicated COTA, and the dynamic environment of a school community.
