1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of experience and Oasis proficiency for a home-based care position covering a designated geographical region. Details Home health setting providing OT services to patients in their homes Part of a multidisciplinary PT, OT, and Speech therapy team covering the Marian & Arroyo Grande areas Flexible scheduling with the majority of hours Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week Every 3rd weekend required Minor holidays observed, major holidays only if needed Assigned to a specific geographical region for patient coverage Common diagnoses include orthopedic conditions, strokes, joint issues, and spinal injuries Cerner EMR used for charting Rehab aides, OTAs, and PTAs typically on staff as permanent employees Requirements Current OT license required (if applicable) Active State or Compact (NLC) license required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of experience required At least 1 year of experience in PT, OT, or Speech therapy required Experience with Oasis (government-mandated form) required Home health setting experience preferred but not required Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility Copy of driver's license required for consideration Additional Information Provide occupational therapy services to home health patients across a range of diagnoses including ortho, stroke, and spinal injury cases Business attire with a white lab coat required; no jeans Floor-specific orientation lasts 1.5-2 weeks Candidates must not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and Dignity Health, within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms is acceptable Mileage is not separately reimbursed as this is an all-inclusive bill rate arrangement
