Outpatient Occupational Therapist Location:

2001 Wilshire Blvd, Ste. 310 Santa Monica, CA 90403

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, flexible schedule options available

Compensation:

$90K-$110K/year (based on experience)

$20K Sign-On Bonus + Monthly Student Loan Repayment Assistance Our Santa Monica Hand Therapy location is looking for a dynamic outpatient occupational therapist that has experience with treating a hand/elbow caseload and a desire to study for the CHT exam, if not already certified. You will have the opportunity to work directly alongside a CHT in this Hand Specialty clinic. We offer a highly successful mentorship program for obtaining your CHT certification. You will be paired with a CHT mentor and will have access to such resources as an UE Journal Club and CHT Study Group. Already a CHT? Our hand therapists have free access to the Journals of Hand Therapy and Hand Surgery as well as many others. Select Medical's Continuing Education Department is second-to-none and hosts an annual UE Symposium in addition to live courses, virtual Master Classes, and recorded instructional videos to suit every learning style. Responsibilities:
Collaboration:

Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.

High Standard of Care:

Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

Personalized Treatment:

Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.

Relationship-Building:

Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy CPR certification Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
