9591872-80828 Job Description Step into a dynamic, full-time occupational therapy opportunity, providing valuable coverage for a maternity leave this fall. This contract role runs from September 8th through the end of November and focuses primarily on supporting elementary-aged students, with a small number on your caseload presenting with more significant developmental needs. Your week will be split between four days working in-district and one day serving learners just outside the district, offering a rewarding mix of experience and variety.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

Active state licensure in Occupational Therapy Previous experience with school-based OT services preferred Strong knowledge of OT best practices in educational settings Ability to effectively support students with complex and severe developmental needs Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families Schedule flexibility to travel one day per week outside the primary district

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to elementary students Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and document ongoing student progress Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and parents to create supportive learning environments Adapt activities and materials to ensure student accessibility and success Consult with educational teams regarding assistive devices, sensory supports, and functional skills Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with district and state requirements Make a difference in the lives of children and families as you help students build confidence, independence, and classroom skills.
