Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a part-time Occupational Therapist providing vital leave coverage for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Located in the Meriden, CT area, this position is ideal for dedicated OTs seeking flexible work that makes a tangible difference across multiple schools. The assignment covers various campuses with a diverse K-12 student caseload, offering you the chance to work with children and young adults of all ages and abilities. This role begins in October 2026 and continues through March 1, 2027, ensuring continuity of care and the chance to build meaningful connections with students and staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Connecticut Previous experience in a K-12 educational setting preferred Strong therapeutic assessment and intervention skills Ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple schools Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families Up-to-date knowledge of IEP documentation and implementation
Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy services to students across all grade levels as specified in their IEPs Develop individualized therapy plans and adapt activities to foster student participation and success Collaborate with educational teams to support student progress in school environments Maintain accurate records, monitor student outcomes, and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders Adhere to district guidelines and ensure confidential handling of sensitive student information This contract-based role allows you to showcase and expand your expertise in school-based occupational therapy, working alongside passionate educators and professionals.
