Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract A part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year at a school location in Laurel, DE. This position supports students from Kindergarten through 6th grade, providing essential occupational therapy services to a growing caseload.
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services for two full days each week Reserve a half day weekly for meetings, assessments, and testing Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy plans Monitor student progress and document outcomes accurately Adapt therapy approaches to meet the diverse needs of K-6 students Initially provide services in person, with the potential to transition to virtual therapy byAugust Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist preferred; Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant candidates will also be considered Experience working with school-aged children (K-6th grade) is highly desirable Ability to manage a growing caseload effectively while maintaining quality of care Strong communication and organizational skills Comfort with both in-person and virtual service delivery modelsLocation:
Laurel, DE (in-person services required initially, virtual considered starting August) This contract position offers a consistent part-time schedule of two and one-half days weekly across the school year, beginning in late August.
