Part-time — 4 weekday afternoons, 2:00pm-6:00/7:00pm, plus Saturdays 9:00am-3:00pm About Us At Vision & Learning Center, we help children and adults overcome visual problems that make reading, learning, focusing, and daily life difficult. Our patients range from elementary schoolers to working adults recovering from concussions — many arrive after years of being told nothing was wrong. Our team specializes in vision therapy and developmental optometry. About the Role Our patients come to us after school and on Saturdays, so that's when we need you. This is a hands-on patient care role with office work mixed in. If you like the patient-contact part of medical assisting but want more than 7 minutes with each person, this is the job. Full training provided; no vision therapy experience needed. This schedule works well if you: Are in school and need afternoon and weekend hours Have kids in school and want to work while they're at activities Want steady part-time work with a consistent, predictable schedule Open to full time for the right candidate Patient Care Perform pre-testing for eye exams: visual acuity, binocular vision screening, and other diagnostic tests Process testing results and prepare reports for the optometrist Support patients and their families during vision therapy sessions Keep the office welcoming and professional for everyone who walks in Office Support Front desk: answer calls, schedule appointments, answer patient questions Billing support: take payments and patient invoices Care coordination: communicate with referring providers, OTs, PTs, and other professionals Office management: maintain patient records, organize testing materials, general office tasks What We're Looking For Experience in a medical office, eye care, or rehabilitation setting preferred, but we will train the right person Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable working with patients of all ages, from young children to older adults, including those with special needs Comfortable with Microsoft Office and EHR systems (preferred) Available consistently on afternoons and Saturdays Reliable transportation; the position works out of both our Coconut Creek and Boca Raton offices Why Join Us Meaningful work: you'll watch a struggling reader become a confident one, and an adult get back to a full workday without headaches Real training: paid, on-the-job training in vision therapy and developmental optometry

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Training starts at $18.00/hour. Once you've completed training and are working directly with patients, pay moves to $20.00/hour.
