Job Description
Encompass Health in Naples, FL seeks a part-time Occupational Therapist to provide evidence-based inpatient rehabilitation for patients recovering from illness, injury, and surgery. Evaluate functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, ADLs, and safety. Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and document care per regulatory standards. Responsibilities Evaluate patients' functional status and rehabilitation needs Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans Provide therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs, mobility, and safety Educate patients and families on home programs and adaptive strategies Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehab team on care plans Document assessments, treatments, and progress per regulatory standards Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital policies Required Skills Occupational therapy evaluation and treatment Inpatient rehabilitation practice Activities of daily living (ADL) training Neuromuscular re-education Splinting and positioning Therapeutic exercise and functional mobility training Patient and family education Interdisciplinary care coordination Clinical documentation and EMR use Knowledge of rehab regulations and safety standards
