Job Summary:
We are seeking a licensed, compassionate, and self-driven Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team as an independent contractor providing home health services in the Miami, FL area. The ideal candidate will evaluate patient needs, develop treatment plans, and deliver exceptional therapy services directly in patients' homes. You will play a crucial role in helping individuals enhance daily living skills, improve functional independence, and elevate their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform patient evaluations and establish individualized occupational therapy treatment plans. Deliver therapeutic interventions including ADL training, strengthening, fine motor activities, cognitive strategies, and adaptive techniques. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs, safety precautions, and functional strategies to support independence. Monitor, document, and report patient progress accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with agency standards. Maintain consistent communication with the care team, including nursing, therapy staff, and coordinators, to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Must hold a current, valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the State of Florida. Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Master's or Doctorate). Demonstrated experience delivering patient-centered care in a home health, outpatient, or rehabilitation setting. Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles, functional activity training, and adaptive strategies. Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Schedule & Compensation:
Compensation:
$75 per visit.
Schedule:
Flexible daytime hours, generally between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Occasional after-hours visits may be required.
Visit Details:
