This position is ideal for an OT who enjoys working directly with children and families in their natural environments and wants the flexibility of starting with a small caseload while having the opportunity to grow with the practice.
Hours and caseload may increase as the practice grows and additional clients become available

Independent contractor Responsibilities The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will provide high-quality, individualized occupational therapy services to children and their families.
Responsibilities may include:
Complete comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments. Identify children's strengths, needs, functional limitations, and areas requiring intervention. Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals based on evaluation findings. Address functional skills related to activities of daily living, including dressing, feeding, grooming, toileting, and other self-care tasks as appropriate. Address fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, handwriting, and pre-writing skills. Address gross motor coordination, motor planning, bilateral coordination, balance, and body awareness as appropriate. Address sensory processing and regulation needs. Support attention, executive functioning, organization, and participation in age-appropriate activities. Address play skills and participation in school, home, and community routines. Use therapeutic activities, exercises, sensory-based strategies, and evidence-informed interventions appropriate to each child's needs. Educate and coach parents/caregivers regarding strategies that can be incorporated into daily routines. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, physicians, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, behavioral professionals, and other members of the child's care team as appropriate. Provide recommendations for environmental modifications, adaptive equipment, positioning, and other supports when appropriate. Monitor progress and modify treatment plans based on the child's response to intervention. Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation as applicable. Maintain professional and ethical standards consistent with occupational therapy practice. Protect client confidentiality and comply with applicable privacy requirements. Communicate professionally and consistently with families and members of the child's care team. Manage travel efficiently between client homes and maintain reliable attendance for scheduled visits. Represent Sensational Students Occupational Therapy in a professional, compassionate, and family-centered manner. Qualifications Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in FL. Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Pediatric experience preferred. Strong understanding of child development and pediatric occupational therapy principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with the practice owner and other professionals. Dependable, organized, punctual, and comfortable working in clients' homes. Ability to establish positive relationships with children and families. Commitment to providing individualized, family-centered care. Transportation Requirements Because Sensational Students Occupational Therapy is a mobile practice , the therapist must be able to reliably travel from one client's home to another.
Applicants must:
Have a valid driver's license . Maintain a clean and acceptable driving record . Own or have reliable access to a personal vehicle suitable for traveling between client homes. Maintain current auto insurance as required by law. Be comfortable driving to multiple client locations as part of the workday. What We Offer Very flexible scheduling.
