Responsibilities Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and standardized assessments Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Provide therapeutic interventions to improve functional independence and safety Educate and train patients, families, and caregivers on home programs and adaptive strategies Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members on care plans Document assessments, goals, and progress accurately in the EMR system Participate in discharge planning, equipment recommendations, and home safety considerations Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and best-practice initiatives Precept or mentor students and new staff as appropriate Maintain compliance with regulatory, licensing, and professional practice standards Required Skills Occupational therapy evaluation and treatment Knowledge of ADLs and functional mobility training Neurorehabilitation techniques Orthopedic and upper extremity rehab skills Pediatric or adult rehab clinical skills (as applicable) Use and fitting of adaptive equipment and assistive technology Therapeutic exercise and activity analysis EMR documentation and clinical reporting Interdisciplinary care coordination Patient and caregiver education
