9603801-31833 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12th grade students as a contract Occupational Therapist for the 26/27 school year in Troup County, GA. This full-time role empowers you to make a meaningful impact in students lives by helping them reach their fullest potential in an educational setting. The position uniquely blends traditional school-based OT with elements of home health and broader healthcare experience, focusing on both fine and gross motor development.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Occupational Therapist license in Georgia (required) Previous experience in school-based OT and/or pediatric settings is highly valued Skills in addressing fine and gross motor challenges across a wide age range Solid foundation in therapeutic interventions appropriate for children and adolescents Compassionate, adaptable, and collaborative approach to care
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct OT services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade Design and implement customized treatment plans, targeting sensory, fine, and gross motor skills Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students IEP goals Monitor and document student progress, making timely adjustments to interventions Offer in-services or consultation to staff as needed regarding OT strategies and accommodations
