1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an acute inpatient hospital setting, requiring 1+ year of acute care experience and current state licensure. Details Acute inpatient care setting on a hospital-based Occupational Therapy unit Treat approximately 8-10 patients per day with 8-12 therapists on staff daily Diverse caseload including neurologic, general medical, orthopedic, cardiac, and oncology diagnoses Coverage required across all medical floors, PACU, and ED, with occasional infrequent floating to another hospital within a 20-mile radius Variable 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week from 7:30am-6:00pm on an 8-week schedule Weekend rotation required, either every other full weekend or one weekend day per week

used Requirements Current state OT license required (license required if applicable) Minimum 1 year of acute care experience as a licensed therapist required Current BLS certification required First-time travelers accepted Driver's license required for consideration Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility Additional Information Provide occupational therapy services to acute inpatients across medical, surgical, and specialty units Manager on-site each shift, with an on-call supervisor available on weekends Rehab Aides support the team; COTAs are not utilized No self-scheduling or blocked scheduling requests accepted Any color scrubs or business casual attire accepted Orientation includes system orientation, documentation training, and hospital/department orientation over the first 3-5 days No holiday coverage required Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted Former permanent employees must wait one year before applying for a travel assignment
