Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license Previous experience in a school-based setting, specifically with middle school students, is strongly preferred Solid knowledge of IEP development, assessments, and progress reporting Ability to adapt interventions to individual student needs Excellent communication skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members Strong organizational and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students needs and strengths related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional performance in a school environment Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans and IEPs Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to facilitate student participation in classroom activities Provide direct therapy as well as consultation within the school setting Document services, maintain up-to-date records, and contribute to IEP meetings and evaluations Foster positive relationships to create an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere This contract opportunity allows you to work in a welcoming school community where your expertise and creativity are valued.
