Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting early learners through occupational therapy services in a collaborative school environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about working with pre-k students to help them achieve their growth and development milestones. Your schedule will be three days per week—Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday—for a total of 22.5 hours. You will provide direct OT support to a caseload of 20-30 pre-kindergarten students in a supportive and dynamic educational setting. Work closely with an interdisciplinary team focused on meeting student needs and ensuring positive outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Valid Occupational Therapist license (OT) in the state Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Proficiency with conducting special education evaluations Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, particularly in team settings Experience with IEP writing and collaboration Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional growth

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough OT assessments and evaluations for pre-k students Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing OT insights to support IEP development Develop, write, and maintain Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals Provide direct interventions and therapy customized to each child's unique needs Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports according to school and district requirements This position offers meaningful work in a flexible, part-time format, allowing you to impact the lives of early learners while balancing your professional and personal life.
