Key Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (master's or doctorate required) Completion of required fieldwork and clinical OT training Successful completion of the NBCOT national certification exam with verification sent to the state of Illinois Ability to obtain and maintain an Illinois OT license, including continuing education requirements and applicable fees Active OT state license in hand School-based OT experience preferred Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and experience in educational settings appreciated

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy services to 6th-8th grade students during school hours, Monday through Friday, for 36.25 hours weekly Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and families within general education co-taught and self-contained classrooms Travel as needed between district sites and a nearby off-campus location to support students Participate in student assessment, goal development, and documentation for IEPs Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive student support Seize this chance to build meaningful relationships while empowering students to succeed both academically and in life skills.
