JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible to assess patient's functional and cognitive problems including daily living activities, upper extremity, strength, endurance, fine/gross motor skills and evaluates premorbid, vocational and community roles. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement / Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED
Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy (BS or MS). Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
Possesses current Illinois Occupational Therapist license or confirmation from Illinois Department of Professional Regulation that licensure is in process.
