Job Description

Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting K-12 students and making a lasting impact through your expertise in occupational therapy! This role is tailored for a dedicated OT seeking to shape the school experience for children and adolescents in a vibrant educational community. This position begins August 10, 2026, and runs through May 24, 2027, providing the ideal academic calendar schedule. You'll work a consistent 35 hours per week, collaborating with teachers, special education staff, and families to help students excel both in and out of the classroom. Every day brings new challenges and rewards as you deliver individualized interventions and creative solutions for learners across a variety of ages and grade levels.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist and eligibility to practice in Illinois Experience within a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Ability to assess student needs and develop effective treatment plans Collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and organizational abilities Passion for empowering K-12 students to achieve their fullest potential

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for students with diverse needs Evaluate fine motor, sensory, and functional skills impacting classroom success Develop and implement targeted intervention plans and progress monitoring Document services and collaborate on IEP teams to ensure student growth Communicate regularly with educators, administrators, and families Adapt therapy to each student's goals, strengths, and unique challenges Envision guiding students toward greater independence, participation, and confidence.
