Responsibilities:
Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to identify their strengths, weaknesses, and potential limitations Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on improving patients' abilities to perform daily living activities, such as dressing, grooming, and bathing Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care and support Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including exercises, activities, and equipment, to promote patients' recovery and independence Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care and address any concerns or questions
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current licensure or certification to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Indiana Minimum of 0 years of experience in occupational therapy; new graduates welcome to apply Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to lift, transfer, and position patients of varying weights and abilities Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and ability to learn new systems quickly
