Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting elementary-aged students as an Occupational Therapist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, contract position is based in the vibrant South Bend region, with on-site work preferred. You'll have the rewarding opportunity to collaborate directly with dedicated educational teams and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Indiana (or eligibility to obtain) Experience or strong interest working with elementary school-aged children Familiarity with school-based therapy services, including IEP development and implementation Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and school staff Ability to adapt and tailor therapeutic approaches to meet diverse student needs Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and group therapy to elementary students, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory integration, daily living skills, and social participation Conduct assessments and provide input for IEPs in collaboration with educators and families Monitor student progress, maintaining thorough and timely documentation Advise staff and parents on strategies and accommodations to foster student success Support a positive, inclusive, and engaging school environment
