Responsibilities:
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessment, interpretation, goal development and treatment through both hands-on care and an active approach to help patients return to the highest level of function. Our patient population consists of general orthopedics, geriatrics, adolescents, post-surgical orthopedics, operative and non-operative and sports medicine. The licensed occupational therapist assesses, plans, coordinates and executes prescribed therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury of a body part, assisting the patient to reach their maximal functional performance level. Develop and implement therapy programs that focus on rehabilitation Work directly with patients to achieve maximum physical recovery Evaluate effects of therapy treatment and communicate patients' progress Record and document patient care services Collaborate with other team personnel to achieve well-rounded careQualifications:
Ability to handle physical workload Ability to build rapport with patients Excellent written and verbal communication skillsEducation:
Graduate of an Accredited Occupational Therapy program Certification /License:
MA OT License or Evidence of submission of a complete and accepted application for licensure by examination to theMA Board of Allied Health Experience:
