Asbury Methodist Village | Gaithersburg, MD Benchmark Therapies is looking for a Full-Time Outpatient Occupational Therapist to join our team at Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, Maryland. This role primarily supports residents in Independent Living and Assisted Living and could be a great fit for an OT who enjoys working with older adults and helping them stay independent, safe, confident, and involved in the things that matter to them. Because this is an outpatient role within a senior living community, you'll have the chance to get to know residents over time, understand their routines and goals, and provide care that feels practical and meaningful in their everyday lives. You'll have support when you need it without feeling micromanaged. What You'll Do Complete occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care Provide outpatient OT services to residents in Independent Living and Assisted Living Help residents maintain or improve independence with daily activities, routines, mobility, safety, and overall function Address areas such as strength, balance, coordination, upper-extremity function, cognition, adaptive techniques, and energy conservation based on each resident's needs Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and practical strategies to support safety and independence Educate residents and families on ways to make everyday activities safer and easier Build positive relationships with residents, families, community staff, and other members of the care team Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support each resident's goals and quality of life Complete timely and accurate documentation using Net Health and facility systems Be part of a supportive, team-focused therapy environment What We're Looking For Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program Active Maryland Occupational Therapist license in good standing A genuine interest in working with older adults Strong communication and collaboration skills A dependable and thoughtful approach to care Someone who enjoys helping residents stay independent and continue doing the things that are important to them Full-Time Benefits Eligible full-time team members receive: Health, dental, and vision insurance Accident, life, disability, and critical illness coverage Six paid holidays PTO with full annual rollover and no rollover cap 401(k) Free continuing education through CEU360 Support from accessible clinical leadership If you enjoy building relationships with the people you treat and want to work in a setting where you can focus on meaningful, individualized care, we'd be happy to tell you more about the role and the team at Asbury Methodist Village.
