Key Qualifications:
Active Maine Occupational Therapist certification Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations, ideally in a school-based setting Knowledge of best practices in school OT, including writing IEP goals and providing therapeutic interventions Strong organizational skills for both direct services and indirect documentation Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver approximately 4 hours of direct occupational therapy services to a caseload of around 11 students per week Conduct individualized and group sessions aimed at enhancing students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence Complete required documentation and indirect service tasks during additional onsite hours Collaborate with educators and families to integrate therapy goals into the school environment Support the evaluation and progress monitoring processes in compliance with IEP and state requirements This role offers a unique opportunity to focus your expertise in a supportive school community while maintaining flexibility over your schedule.
